Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself H

Pick up your head!

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” – (Isaiah 55:9)

What is happening to America? What transpired yesterday and this past year is not surprising though it may be unprecedented it is no surprise. If you have been watching, you have seen the warning signs and now we have reached a boiling point. Hate and division are on the rise and we're all in the pressure cooker together

What a week it has been. Here we are in the midst of an ongoing presidential election with no reasonable end in sight. There is a palpable feeling of unrest within the very fiber of our nation. If you haven’t been affected to some extent, then there is a chance your emotional receptors are fried. Why should this be affecting you? I am assuming that you love God, you love His church, and you love your country. So, with that in mind what do we need to remember as followers o

United in Christ

 by Amy Dean

July 27, 2020

Do you ever want to save the whole world? Bring hot and healthy food to the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless, and gather those who are hurting and living in fear under your wings, just as a mother duck gathers her fuzzy little ducklings? I have often shared with my husband that if I won the lottery, I would first pay off all of our debt. I would then pay off our children’s and parent’s mortgages or vehicles, and start an edu

(Ps 113:1-3) Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD! 2 Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore! 3 From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD's name is to be praised. NKJV

Let God’s name be praised!

This call of praise is not unfamiliar to the psalmist. The Scripture's remind us that in all seasons we should praise God. This should not be a difficult task, nor should it be complex. Praise is the antidote to a downtr

Weathering the Storms of Tribulation!

Greetings Church,

Well here we are in the month of July and instead of enjoying summertime as many are in the habit of doing, we are continuing to experience the challenges of COVID-19, social unrest, and political turmoil. It would appear that just when things are seeming to slow down and get back to some kind of normal another wave of chaos knocks us off our feet. We are in a season and cycle of storms that are once again bombarding us.

The times we are living in reminds m

An update on Gateway gathering

Greetings Church,

I wanted to share with you that we will officially be opening our doors this Sunday May 31st at 10:30am

We are presently complying with the 30% capacity variance. With that in mind we will be opening additional sections of the church to make proper space for those in attendance.

The Seekers Room and our Welcome Center will both be open. We will also have the church building sanitized in advance of our morning service as well as

To open or not to open that is the question

Greetings Church,

I pray you are doing well during this season of staying at home and social distancing. There is no question we find ourselves in uncertain and peculiar times. The who, what, where and when’s of life have taken on a whole new meaning. We are in a different kind of season and the church is not exempt. When COVID-19 hit its peak, and everything basically shut down the Gateway Leadership Team agreed to close our physical church doors for the sake of keeping

Glorious Praise

We are created to worship. We are commanded to do so through song. (1 Chronicles 16:23) There are few things so personal as opening our mouth wide and letting praise flow to our Creator. Many of us have strong associations between Easter and music. Tunes from childhood we’ve never forgotten. Lyrics which resonate with all God has done in our lives. Words about our King we want to shout in triumph. Sometimes it seems like our only way to express the victory we know we

Christ-Filled Easter Ideas

Easter is such a precious, joy filled day. Some years keeping our focus on Jesus' death and resurrection is such an easy task, but other years take a little more work. Here are some ideas and resources to help you keep centered, no matter your age.

What about doing a variant on the stations of the cross at home? You can move around your yard or from room to room in the house. Take a a sheet with scripture references and your Bible, or if you have a cell phone handy you can...

Rembering Passover and Easter Breakfast

Remembering Passover & Easter Breakfast

When I was a kid, my Mom really wanted us to understand some of the symbolism in the Bible and Passover is the perfect opportunity to lead into Easter. Most believers choosing to celebrate Passover hold a Seder. We had “Journeys”. I’d never attended a Seder until last year, and only as I am writing this, do I realize that other people have probably never done a “Journey.” Talking with my mother, this wasn’t something she

Lean on the Lord

Hello Families! With our first week of e-learning behind us, I just wanted to take the time to check in with everyone. How did the first two days go? Were there struggles that you encountered? Did you have someone to lean on to talk to about the struggles?

For me, this first two days in the Hutchinson household were a challenge and I was quite overwhelmed, but I made it through with three kids while my husband was at work. I did not have anyone at home to physically lean on

A Time to Refocus

A time to refocus

These are unprecedented times. Coronavirus is on the rise and with it there is much change in our daily routines. This can bring uncertainty and even panic.

So, instead of functioning in fear take this time to make some much needed adjustments.

1.Refocus on God. When trials and tribulations come (as they often will) turn your thoughts and attention on God. If God isn’t your source of strength, your rock when hard times come, you will have no foundation

Ways to be a Godly influence on children

by: Greg Schaffer

As parents and caregivers, we have a great opportunity to influence not only our own children but all the children around us. How can we provide positive influences in a world full of so much hate?

“Our struggles with certain sins can become the same sins our children will struggle with as they grow older” (Cox, 2017). These sins could be things such as anger, outbursts, worry, gossiping, and complaining to name a few. Something to keep in mind is that we do not have to

When the Mountains Call

Spring is in the air; warmer weather is almost in reach. There is a passion that stirs in my heart when I think of spring. One of the things I love to do in the spring is hike. There is something about hiking to remote places, the freedom, the freshness of the air and most of all the solitude of that moment.

You might be familiar with the mountain climber George Mallory. When asked why he wanted to climb Mt Everest, one of the most dangerous mountains on the planet, his res
